Our mobile banking app periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information to support features that prevent fraudulent card use and alerts, but only if you expressly authorize collection of such information. You may choose whether geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background, only while the app is being used, or not at all. You can change your location permissions at any time in your device settings.

We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly market to children. We recognize that protecting children’s identities and online privacy is important and that responsibility rests with both the credit union and with parents. If you suspect that your child has provided personal identifiable information to us, please contact us so we can allow you the opportunity to review and delete the information.

To protect personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with applicable federal and state laws. These measures may include physical, electronic, or procedural safeguards, as well as oversight of our third-party service providers to ensure personal information remains confidential and secure. In the event of a data breach, we will provide timely notification, in accordance with applicable laws.

We will never call, email, or otherwise contact you and ask you to disclose sensitive financial information. We already have your information and will not ask you for it. In cases when you initiate a call to our credit union, we may ask you questions to verify your identity, but we will never contact you and ask you for this type of information.

 

what members can do to help

Members can help protect their private information by following these simple guidelines:

  • Protect your account numbers, plastic card numbers, PINs (personal identification numbers) or passwords. Never keep your PIN with your card, which can provide free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
  • Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other people. If someone calls you explaining the call is on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
  • Keep your information with us current. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know. It is important that we have the current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact you immediately.
